First Communion

Here is Jeanne Bronner's (Mémère's) First Communion card and a photo which we think might be her First Communion photo. If so the photo was taken around 1899, placing her around 13 years old.

The Bronner Family

This is the Bronner family. The youngest girl in the middle is Pop-pop's mother, Jeanne. We knew her as Mémère (French for Grandma) or Grandma Lestage. She was born in 1886 in St Etienne, France and lived to be 96 years old. Notice those dresses! Mémère had this picture hanging in her room in Florida and its still in the frame. We don't know much about Mémère's sisters.

*Update since post!

* Denise Stuart: "Madeleine was my Grandmother...She died in March of 1958, a month before I was born. She was married to Felix Dansereau. They had 9 children. 5 girls and 4 boys."

* Sherrie Haber: "I was thrilled to find the pictures of Felicite (aka Felicie) and Charles. Her Maiden name was Brunet. I am a descendant of their daughter Felicity. She was my great-great grandmother. There was a 13 year age difference from Felicity to Jeanne. Felicity had a daughter named Armande who was born in 1904 and still living in California. Here is a picture of the building where Charles and Felicie lived in France. It was taken by my grandmothers cousin Phyillis."

Back to the beginning...

Here are Charles & Felicie Bronner. They are George Morin's (my grandfather, Marcie's father) grandparents. As far as we know, this is the farthest back in ancestry our pictures go on the Morin side. Although the name Bronner is traced back to Germany, many people married and migrated into France. Charles and Felicie are believed to be of French decent. Anyone know anything else?
